The Rosemont Boys
Pecans
These three pecans are the offspring of an enormous 200 year-old pecan (Carya illinoinensis) that grew as part of the Three Oaks estate across the creek. The historic mother tree simply toppled over last year on a clear still day, but the squirrels have spread the seeds all around the neighborhood. The oak at the western end near the top of the ridge is Quercus velutina, Black Oak.
