The Rosemont Boys

The columnar tree at the back of the garden is a Quercus bicolor ‘Beacon,’ but we now refer to it as the beaver oak. Matthew lost his mind and had a total melt down because he came out one morning to find this tree and a few others were cut down, and thought it was the work of vandals. Erik suggested it might have been beavers, which caused Matthew to go even further off the deep end because “[screaming] there aren’t F-ing beavers in the GD mountains!!!!” Well, turns out Matthew was wrong, and the beavers were building a dam in the creek (we found the stems in the creek). Fortunately, a family friend got payback on the beaver. Thankfully the tree grew back!
