Wildlife Hedge
This hedge is planted with a row of alder (Alnus serrulata) and a row of Spicebush (Lindera benzoin). This alder is the larval host for over 150 species of butterflies and moths, and Spicebush is the host for swallowtail butterflies; it is also the exclusive larval host for the Spicebush Swallowtail (Papilio troilus) and the magnificent Promethea Moth (Callosamia promethea).
